The conflict was sparked by a discussion on social media about the similarities between the sound of “Like Jennie” and the teaser for Twice’s upcoming album. Some fans claimed that both tracks used a similar sample. One X (former Twitter) user noted: “Jennie used a sample – this is not her music.” It was under this post that producer Jaxxtone unexpectedly burst in with a cheeky response: “I made Like Jennie, who is TWICE anyway, lol.”
